Most of the U-boat tactics would of come from U-boat High Command.
A U-boat captain would of been giving training on tactics and orders to obey.
Most of the U-boat tactics in the early stages of WWII were develop by
Adm Dönitz, who was the German U-boat fleet Commander at the time.
He started the U-boat "wolf-packs" tactics on enemy shipping during the start of the war.
