<HTML>Hello all, My main research is on BYMS minesweepers built 1942/5, however
one BYMS the 72 was captured of Leros 12/11/43 , and the crew transfered to
Marlag und Milag Nord the P.OW. camp. I bought a book on this camp and in 1945 the camp Commander was a Bernhard Rogge and it gave his time on the Atlantis
and his capture when the camp was over-run. I have some press cuttings from the time the camp was taken over by the allies that state that Rogge was at Scapa flow and was in a British P.O.W camp, and that was why he looked after the British P.O.Ws so well. My question is what happened to Rogge from the camp?
Were they related? Was either at the Nuremburg trials? .The tale I have been told was that so many ex P.O.W.s wrote in in support of Rogge pointing out that they
had very fair treatment in the camp that the case aginst him was dismissed, but which Rogge?
The book contains a photograph of Korvettenkapitan Brernhard Rogge showing his medals.
Can anyone help!
regards from Mersyside U.K

It was suggested that I post this to this forum by a New Zealand researcher from another forum ,if he reads this I am sorry but I lost his e.mail address and could not thank him for his help!</HTML>
