<HTML>Apart from sinking ships, subs are used for \'black ops\' - infiltrating / exfiltrating special forces into territory that is politically sensitive.

A lot of that goes on!

They are also used for intel gathering, observation and comms interception, shadowing....

...very versatile tools!
