The other thing that bugs me about the History Channel is all those clips of footage they use. They state that U309 is a Type VIIC boat, but then show clips of of a Type IX. Sometimes the footage looks like video of a model sub underwater. And sometimes it's an American sub.

I have numerous documentaries on tape from the History Channel and it's always the same handful of footage, just rearranged.
