i find it incomprehensibly to have also the intention to sink the own boat with the crew and only he and the officer crew, alltogether comrades from the marine-sa, should escaped. Obersteuermann Jäckel could defeat this intend only with force of arms. [de.wikipedia.org]

Cabolet must have been an unpleasant and in common-dangerous chap.
