Hi,
I agree, and in my opinion records are incorrect. For example, list on the uboat.net does not include U235.
Back to mysterious picture - I believe it is U766. After war she became French sub Laubie. When you query Internet for this word, you can find, that there are informations (on French sites), that on 8th August 1944 U766 left Brest (with 14 technicians and spare parts for schnorchel) and arrived Bordeaux on 17th August. Then - on 18th August - together with U963 left Brest and headed for Norway, but on 21th August was spotted and attacked by British corvette. Due to damages she entered La Pallice. Between 23th August and 10th September, she was equipped with Schnorchel.
