Hi,

I was wondering about these informations, rewritten from French forum.

Based on informations from these sites:
[historisches-marinearchiv.de]
[uboatarchive.net]
[uboatarchive.net]
can supplement:

08.08.1944, 22.30 leaving Brest with 14 technicians, heading for Bordeaux
09.08.1944, 20.42 unsuccessful attack on landing-craft with T5 torpedo, square BF52
09.08.1944, 23.46 attacked by aircraft, square BF52
10.08.1944, 11.50 attacked by aircraft, square BF55
10.08.1944, 15.20 attacked by hunter-killer surface group (HMCS Ottawa and HMCS Chaudiere), square BF55
11.08.1944, 23.19 attacked by aircraft, square BF55
12.08.1944, 14.30 attacked by aircraft, square BF55
12.08.1944, 15.10 attacked by hunter-killer surface group (HMS Braithwaite and HMS Cooke), square BF55
14.08.1944, 01.16 attacked by aircraft, shot down, square BF55
19.08.1944, 07.00 entering Le Verdon (Bordeaux)
20.08.1944, 00.45 leaving Le Verdon (Bordeaux)
21.08.1944, 07.00 entering La Pallice
24.08.1944, decommissioning due to heavy damages
10.05.1945, hand over to Allies

According to informations from French forum, I wonder, if after decommissioning the boat, were any repairs/modernization conducted - especially installing Schnorchel. On the other hand, the Allied siege of La Rochelle last from 12 September 1944 to 7 May 1945, so Germans had a lot of time to do - there is a case of U256, decommissioned on 25 June 1944 in Brest, and then repaired and commissioned again on 16 August 1944 and which sailed under Heinrich Lehmann-Willenbrock to Bergen...

What do you think...?
