Hi,

maybe the boat was moved to Brest? On Wiki there is an information, that U766 was repaired using parts from U415 (which sunk in Brest). I do not know, when U415 was salvaged.

I also afford possibility, that it is not U766, in the book are few mistakes ""Embleme, Wappen, Mailings deutscher Uboote 1939-1945"
