I was viewing parts of the DVD today (testing out the sound) and watched the third scene in the Officer's Mess (the one that starts with the fly crawling on Donitz's face).
In the corner where the Chief is working on his crossword puzzle, there's a small wall-mounted light. Behind this light, you can see a small photograph of a man. My DVD player has a 4X zoom, so I decided to give it a look. It looks like he's wearing a light-colored uniform, and you can also see a patch of white on his upper left arm. The photo is cut off below that point.
The strangest thing, however, that the face has been blurred out from the shot. Somebody obviously wasn't pleased with what was there. I'm nut nuts. You can see it.
