01:24 - Added information on the circumstances of death of some 625 U-boat commanders to the database, this info is seen on the Listing of all U-boat Commanders. That's all commanders (we know of) who died in the war and many who have died post war. We'll continue to add to this database of course.Also added a marking (+) to that listing indicating if the commanded died in that boat in question.

17:27 - Knights Cross winner Kptlt. Heinrich-Andreas Schroeteler passed away in Bochum, Germany on 19 Jan, 2000. He was 84 years old. He is our Commander of the week.Remember you saw this first here.

We've opened the massive Listing of all U-boat Commanders pages from the databases. Yes, that's right, all 1411 Commanders and the boats they commanded, decorations, ranks and personal information can be found here in an easy-to-follow format.
12:46 - Totally rewrote the Books -> Translations pages using a more compact layout and also design more suitable for search engines to pick up on.
12:49 - Added a new page on what development and changes took place here in 1999.Also updated the Interesting figures documenting the massive increase in size that took place here in 1999.
Updated some flotilla and fate information for a few boats, nothing earth-shattering though.
In addition to the items shown here above we made some 7 additions or changes in our databases during January 2000.
