Hi Einsamer Wolf:
For soldering try this method. Flatten out the solder with a hammer. Then take scissors and cut the flatten solder into little squares. Add flux to the joint, then take a sewing needle or T-pin and transfer one little square of solder to the joint. Then heat with a mini-torch and then, Walla, perfect joint. If any solder gets on an unwanted place, just sand away with "Swiss files" and sandpaper. My favorite brand of solder is "Stay-Brite™†which is a silver-bearing solder that is 5 times stronger than conventional solder. You can get it at most hobby shops or at Micro-Mark under part-number 80822 for $8.95 usd and it comes with the necessary flux. [www.micromark.com] Well, have fun and don’t burn yourself or your house up.
Good Luck and Good Hunting,
Jerry Pope
