Were all netcutters removed in 3-41, what about U96

One matter that has just now been brought to my attention--whether to include netcutters on u86. U96's first combat patrol was in Dec 40. Supposedly, netcutters were taken off in March 41. I am unsure as to whtehr this is when they stopped installing them, or if ALL boats had them removed as soon as possible.
