Don,

I have to give you credit. I was not aware of this before. It seems the more I research, the more uncertain I become. I just wrote an email to Herrn Gaertner concerning this. Hopefully, he will have some information on the veracity of this statement.
I am ready to concede I may very well have been wrong about the emblem being black. I do think if it was green, however, that it would be a dark forest green. A lime green would not appear with such a dark hue.
I will keep you posted if I hear from Herrn Gaertner. Thanks for your contribution. It just comes to show how trying some of this research can be.
