Hi Ken Dunn,
I was once well acquainted with one Kenneth Dunn. In fact I worked in the same office as he, but that was many years ago.
My interest in U-Boat facts and factors stems from my experience as a Canadian
Huff Duff Operator during WWII. I acquired a fair amount of first hand knowledge re the scrap between Allied Escorts and "Gerry" Subs., while engaged as above in
HMCS SWANSEA, during most of 1944.
We were part of EG9, a Canadian striking force, bent mainly on the destruction of U-boats, by taking the war to those "Poor" unfortunate lads, who had pretty slim chances of survival during the latter stages of the war, and before the wholesale use of the Walter Boat.
Just out of curiosity, I'd appreciate a response, suspecting full well that you are not the Ken Dunn of whom I speak.
Best regards,
Jim C.
