According to a submate of mine who road the WWII fleet boats, the Fairbanks-
Morse 10-cylinder 38D 8 1/8 two-stroke engine and the General Motors V16-cylinder 16-278A engines consumed about 90 gallons per hour at top speed. That's about 360 gallons per hour with 4 engines on line.
The FM engines drove the boat at 18+ knots and the GM engines 20+ knots.
