Now the question: What 50000t cruise ship. Deadweight tons, gross tons, net tons, metric tons, register tons (gross or net). :-))
I suspect your source got confused with the cruise ship tonnage.
Standard description would be GRT, which after all is no weight but a cubic measurement (= 100 cubic feet= 2.83cbm). Yep, one can have fun with those numbers. Rgds, RB
