Rainer, et al;

This morning I over-heard an interesting discussion on fuel consumption about almost anything with motors. Although miles (or kilometers) per gallon (or liter) are used for comparison they don't mean anything until you multiply that figure by the driven objects weight like ton-miles per gallon (Cadilacs always won in the car category). Most interesting, however was the miles? per gallon rate of 50,000 ton cruise ship - 4 inches per gallon or 2.579 centimeters per liter. >( |8 < D } .

P.S. - 4"/gal = 15,840 gallons/mile >[ |8 < ( } WOW!
