<HTML>Hi Michael,
The American freighter HARRY LUCKENBACH and the French freighter HENRI LE COUR(T) have been torpedoed in the night of 05-06/01/1918 by U 53 at about 1H30/2H00. nevertheless after Dänemark answer I'll check my sources one again.
They belonged to a convoy composed with 15 ships. Both were carrying coal (HENRI LE COURT: 4067t from Cardiff).
2 others freighters were also sunk: the Danish DAGNY(D) transporting 1587t of coal (2 men killed) and the Greek KANARIS with 4435t of coal.
They were attacked in the Baie d’Audierne, SW of Brittany, at about 8 nm fron the Pointe de Penmarc’h. Wrecks are laying at about 70/80m depth.
The case you need tehm, I can give you the GPS positions.
Concerning the VOLTAIRE, I’ve got a French battleship who sunk during the 30’s so probably not the right one.
Bye
