<HTML>Hi Michael
There is a small note in the danish inquiry the 13. Feb. regarding the sinking of S/S Dagny, which give an indication, that there was 2 U-Boats in the area. (probably U84)
The captain and the mate both explained:
"Around midnight they both heard an explosion ahead. 0025 They heard screaming for help from several men in the water. At 0115 when they had Penmarc lighthouse in NNE, they saw a U-Boat at starboard in a distance of 2 lenght of the ship. At the same time they heard that the U-Boat fired a torpedo and saw that the U-Boat send a short morse-signal. The signal was answered from a direction ahead of Dagny. After this Dagny started with zigzagging. At 0125 they observed a torpedo a few seconds before it hit them in starboard side."
Could it be U84 and U93 communicating?
Regards
