Thanks -- this is is extremely interesting. Of all the ships sunk or damaged in the Biscay by U 93/U 84/UC 50 this is the first that isn't near the coast between Ile de Sein and Ile de Groix! Clearly a different submarine than the one of Penmarch on January 10 or 11, but which one?
BTW, do you have an exact position for the sinking of CHÂTEAU LAFFITE on January 12, 1918. All I have for a position is SW of Penmarch.
And as Yves can attest, the French naval archives are a mess.
