<HTML>MAX,
Voltaire was a steamer of 2,651 grt sunk on January 11, 1918. She was en route from Algiers for Nantes when sunk in the Bay of Biscay by a U-boat. I would presume as there seems to be no other sinkimgh claim for her and given the general location, the U-boat was U 84, U 93, or UC 50 (all lost without survivors, so not records survived to document the attack), with U 84 and UC 50 being more likely than U 93.
A more exact location location for the sinking would be very useful for my research.
Best wishes,
Michael</HTML>
