<HTML>No Kurt I have no information / references regarding post war studies of Axis hardware.
Given the success of the Japanese "Long Lance" and the German research and development of homing /FAT torpedoes I just mused over the point of any further development / research by Allied Navies which may have been prompted by material /design papers which came their way after the Axix defeat.
I don't know a great deal about the American Submarine force / activities in the Pacific ...only in the most general terms.
What further coloured this thought was the Allied Navies being able to counter quite quickly many of the tech. progress made by the Germans....as you indicated in your posting the American Navy were at least as well advacned as the Kreigsmarine.</HTML>
