Thomas Edison invented a wire-guided torpedo

Sims and Edison may have been preceded by Thorsten Nordenfeldt, a promiment Swedish naval inventor of the late 1800s, who apparently invented a wire-guided torpedo bearing his name, but I could find no dates for his invention, nor mention of an actual test.</HTML>
