i too have the Piper paperback - it does have small cuts. i got very irate with my bookseller when i realised this as i had specifically asked him to get me an unabridged version. his explanation was that "ungekürzte Taschenausgabe" means 'unabridged' in the sense of not shortened, but not necessarily 'unexpurgated'. - i dont know enough about german publishing jargon to debate the point.
