What will the name of the movie be? I am understandably curious.

If memory serves, another Uboat (U506?)and an Italian submarine either met with U156 and took on some of the survivors or rescued some on their own. I do not think they were attacked as well, but I believe they traveled together for a time.

Also something to keep in mind, while there were about 1800 Italian POWs on board, there were also approximately 900 British colonials.
