The boat departed on her only war patrol from Horten, Norway on 8 Oct. 1944. 51 days layer on 29 Nov. the boat landed two German agents at Hancock Point in the Gulf of Maine, USA. She then resumed her patrol and sank the Canadian steamer Cornwallis (5,458 tons) on 3 Dec. She docked at Kristiansand, Norway on 13 Feb. 1945.
