While on the bottom at 203 ft (62 m) (having been harassed by Allied ASW forces for days) U-671 was attacked yet again, this time by a group of "destroyers" but she managed to escape and arrived at Boulogne, France on 5 July. (Sources: Blair, vol 2, page 591)
