9 Apr 1945. A British Mosquito aircraft (Coastal Command DZ592, RAF Banff, F/Lt W.M.O. Jones, F/O A.J. Newell) was hit by flying debris and destroyed while filming an attack on U-804 and U-1065 in which both boats exploded. 34 Mosquito aircraft from three squadrons attacked U-1065 and U-804 en route to Norway from Kiel.
