To Robert Eno:

In the Daphne you can burn oxygen candles in special burners, to supplement the oxygen supply. There are also a number of CO2 absorbers on board, and the air is fresh, clean and without odours. Of course, when the snort-mast is up and the diesels are charging the batteries, the incoming air is first circulated through the pressure hull and then into the engine intakes.
