You're right!
Just ONE (1) psi in the boat results in over 438 lbs on the 600 mm hatch. If a person partially "plugged" this hatch opening, a couple hundred pounds would be trying to push him thru the hatch.
Also, it now takes a lot less than 14 psi to lift a 65-ton D5.
I've seen less than 6 psi lift a set of D5 Ballast Cans due to a
bad tube valve lineup.
