<HTML>Hmm!
an interesting debate as to where this is leading! Gentleman let me assure you that all that has been discussed here on this subject has been already thought of. To keep the political correct @#$%& of our backs yes a statement similar to the one what Gummi uses would have to be inserted in to a magazine etc.
As for recognition by the U-boat Archive I can assure you that I have been working towards such a goal and discussions are well advanced on this front. I cannot go into any more further details at the present because negotiations are still ongoing, and I do not wish to compromise that at prescent.
As for joining Forces with "@#$%& International" let me first say that they are based in the USA and we are not as per title our title UK and I for one could not afford the airfare everytime we wished to meet up!
Second that they charge an extortinate membership fee of which their has been much debate on this very Forum! Their first name in some circles means a lot to some people who have joined!
As for the accusation of wanting to make money out of the word "U-boat" come on now! Joe get real here, their have been enough people in the past who you could throw that one at @#$%& included!
This idea came about from interested people who met in Birkenhead who live within the UNITED KINGDOM & not the USA we are more close to the history here than the yanks!
I am sure that we will not rival @#$%& or damage them in any other way, by taking members from them!
If this club gets of the ground and it will one way or another! the basic aims are the Dissemination of History in the context of the U-boat war both Axis and Allied powers. the coming together of like minded people who wish to talk and discuss their chosen interests. To keep alive this interest by informing and ensuring that we do not forget the tragic lives that were lost on both sides during WW.2
I shall elaborate a bit more later gentleman.
Keep safe!
