<HTML>Hi Ying C.,
The Esprit du Corps of a military officer in the Western World is in some ways very much akin to your neighbors \"Bushido\" (The Way of the Warrior). Thus, ending one\'s life by his own hand does not have the same stigma attached as if this act would be done by a Christian civilian. In the final analysis, any cleric will say, it is nevertheless a sin. I would answer: Then why is it not stigmatized in the same manner? The way of all warriors. Rgds, RB</HTML>
