<HTML>>>Post War in the 1950\'s whilst HOLLYWOOD still kept to the general formula of JAP / NAZI = BAD...GI = GOOD films such as \"Attack\", \"The Enemy Below\", \"Hell in the Pacific\" \"Tora!Tora!Tora!\" etc. became more balanced with less tendenacy to sterotype.
then war films became \'Unfashionable\' for a long while, now that with CGI big set peice WWII films are possible I feel that the Propaganda has returned with them and more worringly is that they are being touted as being \"HISTORICALLY ACCRUATE\"....this can only be a bad thing. <<
Ye sayeth a book full.
The 50\'s and the early 60\'s is when Hollywood made a real attempt to distinguish between good Germans and Bad Germans during world war 2. Remember the camp kamandant of \"The Great Escape!\"
Beleive it or not it was the 70\'s when the horrors of the Holocaust were realised in the U.S. This was because of a TV mini-series called Holocaust.
>>Cinema is turned into a propaganda tool by hollywood not by the Government but by the largely Jewish run studios ( this is not a Racial slur but a fact, check it out yourself )<<
You don\'t need to be so aprehensive. You are more or less on the money. When Das Boot was first screened in LA, California, the beginning disclaimer about 30,000 U-boat men did not return from patrol flashed on the screen, and the audience cheered (this was told by Wolfgang Peterson who was at that screening). Wolfgang Peterson was atributed their response to the fact that most of the audience was Jewish. But the audience was won over by the movie in the end. To Wolfgangs relief.
But I am confused as to why the movies made now would make the Nazi\'s better people than the heros?
