Hollywood and Nazis.
One must not forget that all WW2 movies \"Made In Hollywood\" are also part of an ongoing \"Denazification\" effort to this day. German National Socialism is to be diabolized and linked only to jew persecution and this is to be propagandized as much as possible. The Morgenthau Plan originally also provided for the almost total eradication of the German population after the war, only leaving some sort of agricultural territory in place. This was only partly implemented, deliberate starving of most of the German population in the direct post-war years did not work as planned, mainly due to diffculties in making the occupying forces personnel to implement this. Although, up to well in the fifties, unpunished rape, theft, forced prostitution, violence of all sorts was practised by these occupying forces. I know what I am writing about - I was there. But of course, the latter is not what makes Hollywood cash registers ring.
U-Boote: It is well known that National Socialism had very little to do with what drove these men who fought so bravely for their country.
Hollywood, because of its lack of knowledge, its sheer amerikanese gum-chewing stupidity, plain bloody-mindedness and an ongoing propaganda effort, is continuously mixing things up: the German People, the German Soldiers, National Socialism, the persecution of the jews and World War 2.
