Afternoon all,
I would be inclined to agree with George on the shouting issue. There is a difference between yelling and panicking. Apart from the noise during a depth charge attack, the very urgency of the situation makes it essential for the man in charge to be forceful and assertive in command. While in an ideal world, people are calm and collected under pressure, reality makes for different rules. I'm reminded of Kptlt Zschech of U505 who commited suicide in the Zentral while under depth charge attack. Granted, the only case of it's kind on record, however I think it fair to assume that raising one's voice in order to make sure a command was clearly understood was not a rare occurrence.
I still think JP is perfect as Der Alte.
