<HTML>I'm not denying they're great books but it's just something I have noticed that SOME American historians tend to make disparaging references to the other participants in the war.Yes we are all grateful for the sacrifice they made but it would be nice to acknowledge the great sacrifice that other combatants also made.I just find it exceptional that, for a supposedly unimportant nation, Canada could field as many vessels and more importantly men, during the convoy battles. My personal view is that they should receive more recognition and that the indifference Blair displays towards the Canadians, is a flaw I found in his writing.I can't imagine we will ever see a book like it for a very long time so it will for quite some time to come remain the definitive account.
