Attacks on U-759 during this patrol

6 Jul 1943
After sinking the Dutch merchant Poelau Roebiah in convoy ZG 36 east of Jamaica, U-759 was attacked by an aircraft and the US Coast Guard cutter USCGC Bronco (WYP 340) (two depth charges from each), but escaped unscathed.

8 Jul 1943
The boat was attacked by a US Navy scout plane but escaped unharmed after seven hours of attacks by Allied surface ships brought in by the aircraft. (Sources: Blair, vol 2, page )
