Attacks on UA during this patrol

8 Mar 1941
For many years was it believed that the British destroyer HMS Wolverine sank U-47 on 8 March 1941 after a series of depth charges attacks, but the target was actually Eckermann's U-A, which escaped unscathed. (Sources: 1991-06-01, FDS/NHB)
