General Events during this patrol

1941

26 Aug 1941. U-206 rescued six British airmen from two rubber dinghies in the North Atlantic about 220 nautical miles west of Hebrides at 1920hrs. They were the crew of the Whitley Mk.V Z6806 (612 Sqn RAF/W, pilot F/O H.C. Winter-Taylor) which had been on an anti-submarine patrol when it was forced to ditch after the port engine failed at 1315hrs.
