- Sunk on 30 January 1944 in the Barents Sea south-east of Bear Island, in position 73.41N, 24.30E, by depth charges from the British destroyers HMS Whitehall and HMS Meteor.
Notes. This attack was actually directed against U-965 inflicting no damage.
