Don\'t feel too singled out. Slavery in America died 140 years ago, but there is still hard feelings on all sides. There is currently a movement for reparations for slavery despite the fact that all the slaves and all the slave owners are long dead.
Grudges take a long time to die. In the Bible, it says that the sins of the fathers are vested even onto the third generation. That seems about right. So long as the Grandchildren of the victims live, the anger will live. The memory of Holocaust should never die, but it should be remembered that the German people then were no different that us. There, but for the Grace of God, go I.
Also don\'t feel that Germans are being singled out for grave robbing. There is no shortage of those who would rob their own Mother\'s grave if there was profit in it. It is against our law to bury a person with any valuables for just that reason.
Best regards
Steve
