<HTML>Yep, I think you\'re right Ken :-)
What is it with some people today?? Do they even realize that they\'re alive and their country has retained honor because of people like John Griffith and all those who fought in any war?
When are young people going to respect veterans and finally have an understanding of war? When are they going to understand that the men on both sides of any war fought for their country and for their honor and for their beliefs? I guess not many people know the feeling of fighting for something you believe in, whether it be war or anything in life.
To those ignorant disrespectful people like \"Steve\": get off your lazy asses and read some books with personal accounts of people who lived through a war as soldier and civilian alike. Try both stories from axis and allies alike. You\'ll find that the story is one and the same, one of courage, huge highs, huge lows, great losses and most of all the terrible things that humans can do to each other. It is not a pleasant thing. I just got done reading Audie Murphy\'s book \"To Hell and Back\" and also \"Panzer Commander\" by Colonel Hans Von Luck. Two stories that will touch you and give you an understanding of what war is really like. It makes you appreciate what those brave men had to go through, whether it was their belief, sense of duty, or shear spirit for honor and country. Also try accounts from the Battle of Dunkirk.
I would like to thank John for his excellent post, I also learned many new things and that is what this forum is and should be all about. Why attack something that you have not been through personally. You have no idea Steve (or whoever you are)!!!
The Falklands was an interesting war and the points that John made are logical and concise. He was there, he\'s been through it. I couldn\'t even imagine losing 22 of my friends! That alone demands respect. It takes a lot of courage and an honorable mentality to go through something like that. So to those people who like to personally attack veterans, please think and do a little research of your own before you open your big mouths.
Thanks to my friends for the insights and big \"Aye\" to my friend John.

P.S. To those who are going to give me flak: GO RIGHT AHEAD!</HTML>
