I was just rereading "Grey Wolf, Grey Sea" and wondered how exactly did the crew escape from the sunken boat. What is an escape cylinder and how does it work? Where is it located and how would a MM get to it from the diesel room?
And what about the bends? Wouldn't these guys get messed up rising from 35 meters down?
Thankfully Seabees don't have to worry about such things. We build, we fight, we drink beer, we nap.
