hi ken, just checked my copy of grey wolf, grey sea. it was published in great britain in 1972 and in my copy above the copyright notice it says - this book is respectfully dedicated to the men, living and dead, who served on board the u-124 -. it has a forword datelined hamburg 19/10/64 by korvettenkapitan wilhelm schulz plus the 28/9/64 doenitz one. every indication from these together with the authors acknowledgements would lead one to believe it is a well researched and accurate account of u-124. i found no disclaimer at all. however i have no explaination for the entry you have in the copy you checked, unless it has something to do with u.s.a. libel laws ?. hope this helps. regards, schalke.
