21:28 - We kept our promise and added a review for that monthly U-boat magazine (see June 26.) What we discovered was a shocking number of errors on only 4 pages checked. Especially when that magazine claims to be "the most authoritative source on U-boats in the World".
01:24 - Did a major rewrite on the Shipyard pages. This was overhauled using 1997 data and I especially added more information on the contracts and boats not commissioned by those yards.
21:29 - We have edited the page on Krvkpt. Reinhard Hardegen.
21:29 - A monthly newsletter (issue 127) on the subject of submarine warfare recently published an article about some errors in this site. Although the wording was a bit unfriendly we welcome such comments as usual and of course looked into the matter immediately. Since then we have rewritten the Top Aces list with much newer material than was used previously. Most of the top 20 commanders have new tonnage figures and in some cases also different ships sunk figures. It only seems fair to us that we return the favor some day and help the editor of the newsletter to fix some unfortunate errors found in his publication.
01:24 - I've rewritten the front page of the Map-system. Now it uses a large maps showing the entire North Atlantic from which you can select the detailed maps available.
21:38 - Added The Knights Cross winners
KrvKpt. Erich Würdemann (U-506)

21:30 - Added U-390 to the map of the English Channel
21:30 - Added 3 Midget boats to the page dealing with midget boats still around today. Now 15 such boats are listed.
21:31 - Added 7 English language books to the booklist and 2 Swedish ones. I also made the inventive move to mark the books which are new to the list :)
21:32 - Added The Knights Cross winner
KrvKpt. Georg Schewe (U-105)
We now have over 77 U-boat personnel files here.
21:31 - Greatly updated the Lorient U-boat base page, it now includes 4 photos, 2 recent ones and one in colour.
21:31 - Greatly updated the list of boats scuttled during Operation Deadlight. Also updated the map which shows the final resting place for these boats.
01:24 - Added pages for Wolfpacks during the years 1940, 1941 and 1943. These pages are all rather primitive at this point.
21:32 - Added a map of the Irish Sea which contains the sinking locations of 10 U-boats, 9 of which lost in 1945.
21:32 - Added a map of the French U-boat bases and also a map of the North Sea which contains the sinking locations of 14 U-boats.
21:32 - Added a Molch # 391 in Johannesburg, South Africa to the midget submarine page of U-boats Today. Now we have the location of 12 midget subs on that page.
21:34 - Added additional information to the page listing the German midget submarines still existing today. 3 more midget boats are possibly out there, one Seehund and two of unknown types.
21:34 - Added a nice map of the Caribbean Sea, this one shows the 8 U-boats lost in those waters.
21:33 - Added 2 Knights Cross winners
