Patrol description

Patrol in the North Sea off the east coast of Scotland. On 17 September, the boat was out of torpedoes after two unsuccessful attacks and returned to Kiel for an overhaul. On its way through the Skagerrak U-23 controlled five neutral ships for contraband but they were all bound for neutral harbours.
