Sank 18 Feb 1945 north of Heiligendamm, in position 54.17,3N, 11.46,3E, after a collision with U-2336. 11 dead and 10 survivors.

Loss position

Raised on 22 January 1955 and taken to Rostock, measured and conserved, but not repaired. Broken up at Rostock in 1958.

Men lost from U-boats

Unlike many other U-boats, which during their service lost men due to accidents and various other causes, U-2344 did not suffer any casualties (we know of) until the time of her loss.
