Gentlemen:
I need yor help. I am working at a Caterpillar dealer in Brazil. Caterpillar Inc bougth three years ago MaK Motoren factory at Kiel to gather a source of big Marine Engines. The former name of Mak was ""Deutche Werke""
I have two questions:
1) Were the Diesel engines on the U Boats manufactured by, or under the name MaK, or there were other brands of diesel engines used. Would like to know their basic specs.
2) Deutche Werke were also building U Boats?. One of their old age engeneer, (who should know), told me that Mak were involved in Torpedo Launcher equipment but not on the complete U Boat assembly. Probably there is a confussion.
Would appreciate your help.
