Hi Joe,
It is probable that the torpedoes which missed U-23 were the same that missed U-35. There is a possibility that U-23 was two or 3,000 yards beyond U-35 and URSULA entirely focused on U-35 may not have realised that there was another U-boat behind. In any case she missed the opportunity of sinking two U-boats with one salvo which would have been quite a feat! Although the 25 minutes or so which elapsed between the two attacks may bring the conclusion that these were two different torpedo attacks, the KTB time entries could well have been wrong and it was not uncommon to see different times reported for the same event.
