if i remember right,the metox was dubbed as the \"biscayakreuz\".
it was a very simple and rude early fumb.
there were some wires and stuff put in the center of two wooden planks that formed a cross.later in the war the germans realized,that the metox was emitting waves that were used by allied airplanes to home in to the boat and drop a bomb blindly.
they were quite lucky,that the metox device was broken 16 times!</HTML>
